Minister expects first flight of SSJ New in March–May 2023

MOSCOW, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- The first flight of Sukhoi Superjet New (SSJ New) aircraft, a new version of the SSJ100 plane fitted with as many locally-produced systems as possible, should happen in March–May 2023, Deputy Prime Minister – Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Monday.

“The first flight is scheduled for next spring,” he said.

The aircraft is to receive its certificate in December 2023, and be produced in the amount of 20 planes per year.

“I can confirm that the aviation industry is implementing all the tasks in full,” he said.
